Troubleshooting and error codes

Code	What it means	What to do
`unauthorized`	The key is missing, wrong, or revoked	Check the `Authorization: Bearer` header
`key_expired`	The key reached its expiry	Create a new key on API Keys
`ip_not_allowed`	The call came from an IP not on the key's allowlist	Update the allowlist
`api_access_required`	The account doesn't have Verification API access	Contact our team
`trial_expired`	Your trial has ended	Talk to sales to continue
`invalid_request`	The body is missing a required field	Send `first_name`, `last_name`, and at least one disambiguator
`rate_limited`	Too many calls too quickly	Pause, then retry. Watch the `X-RateLimit-*` headers
`quota_exceeded`	You've used your allowance for the period	Contact our team
`billing_suspended`	Billing needs attention	Contact support
`insufficient_tokens`	Shouldn't happen for family extraction, which is included	Contact support

Problem	Try this
After signing in I see a setup or checkout page	Go to obituarymonitor.com, select Sign in, and sign in again.
The trial end date looks wrong	Trials last 5 days. Contact support if you're unsure of your end date.
Integrations or Billing shows a monitoring page, "Choose a plan", or a 404	Use the developer portal sidebar. These pages aren't part of the Verification API portal.
Usage doesn't show today's calls	Check that you're signed in to the account that owns the key.
Too many `possible_match` results	Send middle name, city, and birth year, and use `require_match` for automated decisions
Request times out	Allow at least 180 seconds for `extended` depth, birth-year checks, and family members
Test key always returns the same kind of result	That's expected. Test keys return sample results based on the last name
