Part 1: Importing Watches
Step 1: Download the Template
- Go to Bulk Import/Export in sidebar
- Click "Download Template"
- Save the CSV file
- Open in Excel or Google Sheets
Template Columns

Step 2: Prepare Your Data
Example Data:
- John,Smith,William,OH,Cleveland,2026-PRB-001,high
- Mary,Johnson,,CA,Los Angeles,2026-PRB-002,medium
Data Preparation Tips:
- Remove header duplicates
- Check for empty required fields
- Verify state codes are 2 letters
- Remove special characters from names
Step 3: Upload Your File
- Click "Select File" or drag & drop
- Supported formats: CSV, XLSX
- Wait for file to process
Step 4: Map Columns
If columns don't auto-detect:
- Match each spreadsheet column
- Use dropdown to select field
- Skip columns you don't need
- Click "Continue"
Step 5: Preview Import
Review before importing:
- Green rows - Valid, ready to import
- Yellow rows - Warnings, review recommended
- Red rows - Errors, won't import
Step 6: Import
- Review final count
- Click "Import X Watches"
- Progress bar shows status
- Confirmation when complete
Part 2: Exporting Data
Exporting All Watches
- Click "Export Watches"
- Choose format: CSV or Excel
- Download file
Export Options
Select what to include:
- Active watches only
- Include archived
- Include match history
- Include case information
- Include notes
Best Practices
Before Importing
- Clean your data - Remove duplicates
- Verify formatting - Check names, states
- Start small - Test with 5-10 rows
- Have case ready - Create cases first
After Importing
- Verify count - Match expected number
- Spot check - Review a few watches
- Check cases - Confirm linking
Troubleshooting
- "Required field missing" - first_name and last_name required
- "Invalid state code" - Use 2-letter codes (OH, not Ohio)
- "Duplicate found" - Name+State combination exists
